My Cell Phone is wet and screen is blank!! HELP A.S.A.P. PLEASE!!?
Okay so I sleep with my cell in my bed, well above my bed there is a pipe that leaks. My phone somehow got over there and the pipe leaked on my phone. I woke up and it was still on and everything. I started wiping and the screen went white. I can see the water marks on the front of my phone screen. So, I took it apart, meaning, I took the battery and back case out and wiped it all dry, I think. The screen is still white and won’t work but everything else works. I can unlock my phone and do anything, just the screen isn’t working now. Right now I have it near my electric heater with the battery and back case out and off. PLEASE HELP ME??
Keep the battery out of the phone!
Use a hair dryer to warm the phone (not HOT) to try to get some of the moisture out of the phone.
Put the phone into a bag of (Dry, uncooked) rice, minute rice would be best. Put the rice/phone in a sealed container, in a warm spot for at least 1 1/2 to 2 days. The rice will absorb moisture and hopefully dry everything out inside the phone.
If you have access to a hobby shop, get some “desiccant crystals/beads” that are designed to dry flowers and put the phone in those instead of the rice (or move it from the rice to the crystals – if you have rice at home, get it in there now.)
If you can find desiccant crystals, you might give the phone a try after 24 hours instead of 2 days, as they absorb moisture a lot faster than rice does.
Also, I would suggest trying to “shake” as much water out of the phone as possible to start with.
