Do I need a DVD recorder with digital tuner if I have cable (no cable box)?
WOW I cable (no cable box) and a tuner TV on me. when I had my old VCR, DVD, I could put the power cord on my DVD recorder, and connect with another cable from my dvd burner on my TV and I have connected the RCA cables from my DVD recorder to my tv. I was hoping my new DVD recorder in the same way. Please just answer the following questions with a simple answer. According to the information that I mentioned earlier, I need a digital tuner to record cable channels already? (I do not care if I watch what I'm recording) 2.According the information I mentioned earlier, I will be able to obtain and record more channels I have now with my basic cable and a digital tuner? (No I do not mind if I just want to know)
1. You need a digital tuner to watch one program while recording another program so it is not necessary, with or without cable to save your regular programming 2. No, you would not be able to get more channels, you need a decoder for that. Sorry. Hope that helps!
