HDTV + PS3 + Home Theater?
I just bought HDTV and PlayStation 3. With the TV they gave me as a gift a Home Theater System. I want to watch Blu-ray movies using the PS3 and use the Home Theater for 5.1 sound. But I think I have a problem, because the Home Theater doesn’t have digital optical output. It only has components and 1 HDMI out. The HDTV has it all, 3 HDMI, components, optical. The PS3 has 1 HDMI and 1 optical, plus some AV multi out, which I am not sure if I can use for better sound.
One more doubt that I have, is how do I know if I need toslink optical cabe, or the other optical…
Try connecting via HDMI like this PS3>Home Theater>HDTV I’m guessing your theater has 1 hdmi in and another out , Hdmi is a great cable for picture and sound, it can transmit in 5.1 channels so its a good solution
